About Mariza

Mariza is a founding member of the Assembly team. Prior to her career in executive search, she worked for the Education Advisory Board and as an attorney for Thompson, Coe, Cousins & Irons, LLP providing solutions for higher education’s most pressing challenges and defending clients in multi-million-dollar litigation disputes. She leads our Go To Market/Customer Practice (Sales + Marketing + CSX), placing exceptional leaders in growth equity-backed B2B tech companies. With a focus on transformational leadership, she has partnered with leading growth-equity clients in successful CRO, CSO, CMO, CCO, CEO, and CPO placements for rapidly scaling companies across North America.

Hailing from South Texas, you can find Mariza continuing her love affair with the city of Austin – eating, listening to live music, or wrangling her 100lb dog, Donna. Her hidden talents are contracts and cutting boards, an ode to her background in litigation and love of food. The causes she is most passionate about are education & the VRA.

Mariza earned her JD from The University of Texas School of Law and graduated from Harvard University with an A.B. in Government and Certificate in Spanish. She is a member of the Texas State Bar and is a licensed Texas Dispute Mediator.
